What Does The KJV Bible Say Are The Noahide Laws, What Are The Modern Noahide Laws, Compare Them Both
The King James Version (KJV) Bible does not list a specific set of “Noahide Laws” as a formal code; instead, it records seven explicit commands given to Noah after the flood in Genesis 9: be fruitful, do not eat flesh with blood, do not shed human blood (with capital punishment for violators), and the implicit establishment of societal order through dominion. The Modern Noahide Laws (or Seven Laws of Noah) are a rabbinic expansion codified in the Talmud (Sanhedrin 56a) and Maimonides, consisting of seven universal moral obligations: 1. Establish courts of justice; 2. Do not blaspheme; 3. Do not worship idols; 4. Do not murder; 5. Do not commit sexual immorality; 6. Do not steal; 7. Do not eat flesh from a living animal.
| Feature | KJV Biblical Account (Genesis 9) | Modern Noahide Laws (Rabbinic/Talmudic) |
| Source | Explicitly stated in Genesis 9:1–7. | Derived via Talmudic exegesis (Sanhedrin 56a) from Genesis and Leviticus. |
| Number | 3–4 explicit commands (Fruitfulness, Blood, Murder, Dominion). | Seven distinct universal laws. |
| Idolatry | Not explicitly prohibited in Genesis 9. | Prohibited (derived from the covenant relationship with God). |
| Justice | Implied through “image of God” and vengeance. | Explicitly required: Obligation to establish courts of law. |
| Sexual Morality | Not explicitly detailed in Genesis 9. | Prohibited: Incest, adultery, bestiality, homosexual acts. |
| Animal Welfare | Prohibition on eating blood. | Prohibition on eating flesh torn from a living animal (Ever Min HaChay). |
| Theft/Blasphemy | Not explicitly listed as separate laws. | Prohibited: Theft and blasphemy are distinct commandments. |
The KJV text provides the foundational narrative and specific prohibitions against blood and murder, while the Modern Noahide Laws systematize these into a comprehensive ethical code including idolatry, blasphemy, sexual immorality, and theft, which are inferred by Jewish scholars from broader biblical principles rather than stated as a direct list in the KJV.
What Does The KJV Bible Say?
The Biblical Text vs. Rabbinic Tradition
The King James Version (KJV) of the Bible does not explicitly use the term “Noahide Laws” or layout a codified seven-law system. Instead, Genesis 9 contains a specific, limited set of universal commands given by God directly to Noah and his sons after they exited the Ark. [1, 2]
The formal codification of the Seven Noahide Laws comes from later rabbinic tradition, specifically compiled in the Jewish Talmud (Tractate Sanhedrin 56a). These traditional laws apply to all humanity (“the descendants of Noah”) as a universal code of morality. [1, 2]
Comparison of Biblical (KJV) Mandates and Modern/Talmudic Noahide Laws
The explicit commands found in Genesis 9 (KJV) differ structurally from the Seven Noahide Laws formalized by rabbinic tradition and tracked in modern Noahidism.
| Modern/Talmudic Noahide Law | Found in Genesis 9 (KJV)? | Corresponding KJV Verse / Scriptural Basis |

| 2. Prohibition of Blasphemy | No | Not mentioned in Genesis 9; derived from Leviticus 24:16. |
| 3. Prohibition of Murder | Yes | Genesis 9:6 – “Whoso sheddeth man’s blood, by man shall his blood be shed: for in the image of God made he man.” |
| 4. Prohibition of Theft | No | Not mentioned in Genesis 9; derived by Sages from Genesis 2:16. |
| 5. Prohibition of Sexual Immorality | No | Not mentioned in Genesis 9; derived from Genesis 2:24. |
| 6. Not Eating Flesh from a Live Animal | Yes | Genesis 9:4 – “But flesh with the life thereof, which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.” |
| 7. Establishing Courts of Justice | Implicitly | Genesis 9:6 – Implied by the mandate for mankind to carry out capital justice (“by man shall his blood be shed”). |
| 8. Mandate to Procreate (Extra Biblical Command) | Yes | Genesis 9:1, 7 – “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth.” (Omitted from the traditional Talmudic 7). |

Analyst Reports: Theoretical & Theological Perspectives
1. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Style Analysis
- Perspective: Systematic and structural formatting.
- Report: The Talmudic Noahide framework behaves primarily as an ISTJ (Introverted, Sensing, Thinking, Judging) mechanism. It relies heavily on historical precedent, strict categorization, and systemic duty to establish global order. In contrast, the Genesis 9 KJV mandates carry a more INFJ/INTJ tone—focusing entirely on macro-level boundaries of the human canvas, the deep existential archetype of the “Image of God,” and the preservation of universal harmony through basic, fundamental guardrails.
2. John MacArthur Analyst Report
- Perspective: Conservative, Reformed, Dispensationalist.
- Report: MacArthur treats Genesis 9 as the clear biblical initiation of the Dispensation of Human Government. God’s declaration in Genesis 9:6 establishes the legitimacy of the state to execute capital justice. MacArthur views the rabbinic expansion into the “Seven Noahide Laws” as an extra-biblical development stemming from Judaism’s Oral Tradition rather than the explicit text of Scripture. For the Christian believer, the moral principles against murder and theft endure, but they are fully fulfilled and contextualized through Christ and the New Covenant, rather than an adherence to a separate Noahide framework.
3. Paul Washer Analyst Report
- Perspective: Heart-focused, Radical Holiness, Christocentric.
- Report: Washer directs focus heavily on Genesis 9:6, viewing the mandate not simply as a civic rule but as a sobering declaration of the depravity of man and the infinite value of God’s image. To strike a human being is to strike a visual representation of the Almighty. Washer cautions against focusing on the “Seven Laws” as a self-help checklist for “righteous Gentiles” to secure salvation without a savior. He argues that a human’s ultimate problem is not a lack of a universal moral code, but a dead heart that requires spiritual regeneration through Jesus Christ.
4. Greg Schad Analyst Report
- Perspective: Textual, Systematic, Dispensational Context.
- Report: Schad emphasizes the strict reading of the KJV text. He notes that God’s covenant with Noah was unconditional and universal, marked by the rainbow. Schad warns against conflating rabbinic traditions (the Talmudic definitions) with structural biblical theology. He maintains that the New Testament church in Acts 15 loosely mirrored some of these deep-rooted restrictions for Gentile believers to maintain table fellowship with Jewish believers, but stresses that the textual Noahic commands were strictly limited to consumption restrictions, the mandate to multiply, and human government.
5. Jordan Peterson Analyst Report
- Perspective: Psychological, Archetypal, Societal Architecture.
- Report: Peterson interprets the Noahide rules as the evolutionary birth of functional human civilization out of primordial chaos. Following a catastrophic collapse (the Flood), humanity requires a fundamental ethos to avoid a slide back into nihilism and violence. The prohibition against bloodshed and the requirement to create courts represent the bare-minimum cognitive infrastructure required to allow competitive, highly aggressive individual human beings to live in close proximity without slaughtering one another. It is the framework that allows the preservation of the individual as an intrinsic value.
6. Carl Jung Analyst Report
- Perspective: Analytical Psychology, Collective Unconscious, Shadow Integration.
- Report: Jungian analysis views the Noahide Laws as an emergence of the collective unconscious establishing psychic boundaries. The Flood represents an overwhelming inundation of the unconscious ego—uncontrolled passions, shadow-driven violence, and chaotic inflation. The post-flood laws, along with the visual symbol of the rainbow bridging heaven and earth, act as an integrated psychic contract. It forces humanity to separate the animalistic impulses (symbolized by eating flesh torn directly from a living beast) from the transcendent divine self.
Acts 15 Jerusalem Council Connection To These Laws
The Acts 15 Jerusalem Council represents the ultimate intersection between the early Christian Church and the roots of universal law. Decided around 50 AD, this council settled whether Gentile converts had to be circumcised and follow the complete Law of Moses to be saved.
The resulting “Apostolic Decree” bears a striking thematic parallel to the concept of the Noahide Laws, providing four strict prohibitions for Gentiles instead of the full Mosaic code.
The KJV Textual Alignment
The foundational ruling, spoken by James in Acts 15:20 (KJV), orders that they write to the Gentiles:
“…that they abstain from pollutions of idols, and from fornication, and from things strangled, and from blood.”
When placed side-by-side with the traditional Seven Noahide Laws and the original post-Flood commands of Genesis 9, the direct mapping and gaps become clear:
| Acts 15:20 Prohibitions (KJV) | Corresponding Modern/Talmudic Noahide Law | Genesis 9 Mandate (KJV) | Purpose of the Restriction |
|---|---|---|---|
| “Pollutions of idols” | Prohibition of Idolatry (#1) | None (Implied later) | Ceasing pagan worship practices. |
| “Fornication” | Prohibition of Sexual Immorality (#5) | None (Derived from Gen 2) | Eradicating Greco-Roman ritual sex culture. |
| “Things strangled” | Not Eating Flesh from a Live Animal (#6) | Genesis 9:4 (“flesh with the life thereof…”) | Prohibiting meat where the blood was trapped inside. |
| “Blood” | Implicitly tied to murder / blood consumption | Genesis 9:4 (“…which is the blood thereof, shall ye not eat.”) | Direct ban on consuming raw blood or life-force. |
Note: The Jerusalem Council omitted the specific Noahide mandates regarding theft, blasphemy, and establishing courts of justice, as these were already universally recognized civil realities across the Roman Empire.
Analyst Reports: The Jerusalem Council & Noahide Connection
1. Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) Style Analysis
- Perspective: Systematic, structural framework.
- Report: The Council’s decision acts as an INTJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, Judging) strategic masterpiece. Faced with a system-breaking crisis (massive Gentile influx vs. rigid Mosaic tradition), the leadership engineered an elegant, scalable policy framework. They looked past the granular details of Levitical law to grasp the underlying “universal architecture.” By utilizing the minimal baseline parameters reminiscent of the Noahide system, they maintained structural integrity for Jewish communities while dynamically optimizing for global expansion.
2. John MacArthur Analyst Report
- Perspective: Conservative, Reformed, Dispensationalist.
- Report: MacArthur strongly emphasizes that the Jerusalem Council rejected any form of legalism for salvation. The four restrictions were not given as a new checklist to merit eternal life. Instead, MacArthur views this decree through the lens of Christian liberty and fellowship. The apostles drew upon these ancient Noahic and Levitical concepts strictly to prevent Gentile believers from causing unnecessary offense to their Jewish brothers. It allowed clean table fellowship in mixed churches, keeping the unity of the Spirit without compromising justification by faith alone.
3. Paul Washer Analyst Report
- Perspective: Heart-focused, Radical Holiness, Christocentric.
- Report: Washer focuses deeply on the inclusion of “fornication” alongside dietary rules. He argues that this exposes the radical, uncompromised call to holiness for anyone entering the covenant community. Washer warns against treating the Acts 15 decision as a “compromise document” or a lazy baseline. The holy nature of God does not change because the economy shifts from Jew to Gentile. The decree warns the pagan world that coming to Christ demands an absolute shattering of their old fleshly lifestyles, specifically separating themselves from the demonic practices of idolatry and sexual perversion.
4. Greg Schad Analyst Report
- Perspective: Textual, Systematic, Dispensational Context.
- Report: Schad notes that the timeline is vital: the formal codification of the “Seven Noahide Laws” occurred in rabbinic literature centuries after the New Testament was written. Therefore, James and Peter were not explicitly reading from a Talmudic checklist. Rather, Schad argues the Council drew directly from the holiness requirements for “strangers dwelling in Israel” found in Leviticus 17 and 18. It shows that the early church recognized a distinct theological reality: Gentiles are related to God through the universal covenant of Noah, not the national covenant of Moses.
5. Jordan Peterson Analyst Report
- Perspective: Psychological, Archetypal, Societal Architecture.
- Report: Peterson views the Jerusalem Council as a profound psychological solution to a massive tribal boundary crisis. You have two radically different cognitive frameworks—strict, hyper-structured Jewish legalism and chaotic, pagan Roman polytheism—colliding in the same room. If you force the Gentiles into absolute conformity (circumcision), the psychological weight crushes the movement. If you give them absolute freedom, the social contract dissolves into hedonistic chaos. The four prohibitions are the absolute bare-minimum boundaries required to establish psychological safety and cooperative peace between two historically hostile tribes.
6. Carl Jung Analyst Report
- Perspective: Analytical Psychology, Collective Unconscious, Shadow Integration.
- Report: From a Jungian perspective, the Apostolic Decree represents an archetypal psychic filter for the evolving human ego. The “pollutions of idols” and “fornication” represent the unconscious, shadow-driven urges toward collective psychic inflation, found in wild pagan rituals. “Blood” and “things strangled” tap into the deeply primal, predatory animal instincts of the unconscious. By consciously forcing the ego to abstain from these specific physical and spiritual entry points, the Council provided the early Christian psyche with a container to separate itself from primitive animal projections and move toward the individuation of the soul.
Leviticus 17–18 Verses That James Used To Formulate This Specific Decree.
When James delivered his final judgment at the Jerusalem Council, he did not invent a new list of restrictions out of thin air. Instead, scholars recognize that the four prohibitions in Acts 15:20 mirror the exact commands in Leviticus 17 and 18 that legally applied to both native Israelites and the “stranger that sojourneth among you”.
By doing this, James targeted the specific pagan practices that made it impossible for Jewish and Gentile believers to share fellowship or eat at the same table. The reason for this selection is explicitly given in the next breath: “For Moses of old time hath in every city them that preach him, being read in the synagogues every sabbath day” (Acts 15:21, KJV), implying that these minimal entry requirements allowed Gentiles to enter the community immediately, while learning the rest of the scriptures over time.
The Textual Cross-Reference Matrix (KJV)
| Acts 15:20 Decree (KJV) | Leviticus Source Text (KJV) | Scriptural Context & Mandate |
|---|---|---|
| “Abstain from pollutions of idols” | Leviticus 17:7-9 | “And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils… Whatsoever man there be… that offereth a burnt offering or sacrifice, And bringeth it not unto the door of the tabernacle… even that man shall be cut off from among his people.” |
| “And from fornication” | Leviticus 18:6, 26 | “None of you shall approach to any that is near of kin to him, to uncover their nakedness… Ye shall therefore keep my statutes… and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you.” |
| “And from things strangled” | Leviticus 17:13-15 | “…whatsoever man there be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn among you, which hunteth and catcheth any beast or fowl that may be eaten; he shall even pour out the blood thereof, and cover it with dust.” (Strangling kept the blood trapped inside the meat). |
| “And from blood” | Leviticus 17:10-12 | “And whatsoever man there be… of the strangers that sojourn among you, that eateth any manner of blood; I will even set my face against that soul that eateth blood, and will cut him off… For the life of the flesh is in the blood.” |

This is a major important point about forgiveness
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV
Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?
I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.
When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.
We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.
Women are looking for a fathers love
Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.
Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.
Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)
In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.
All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.

After Reading The Passage I would Recommend Doing A Silent Prayer
Its is said: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 King James Version (KJV)
