The Infinite Flow – The Secret to Never-Ending Prosperity

November 2, 2026

Dr. Joseph Murphy’s “The Infinite Flow: The Secret to Never-Ending Prosperity” presents a New Thought framework of wealth based on divine circulation, claiming that poverty is a mental disease curable by reprogramming the subconscious mind. While highly alluring psychologically, this ideology directly conflicts with the historical, orthodox Christian faith. Traditional Christian theologians view it as an unbiblical, man-centered “Prosperity Gospel” that distorts Holy Scripture by treating God as an impersonal force or cosmic vending machine.

Comparative Table: New Thought vs. KJV Biblical Orthodoxy

The primary clash is between Murphy’s impersonal, subconscious manipulation and the KJV’s personal, sovereign God.

Concept	Joseph Murphy’s “Infinite Flow” View	King James Version (KJV) Orthodoxy
Source of Wealth	The internal subconscious mind connected to an infinite, cosmic reservoir.	The sovereign grace of a personal Creator God (Deuteronomy 8:18).
Mechanism	Affirmations, auto-suggestion, and a “joyful spender” vibration.	Humble prayer, alignment with God’s will, and hard work (Proverbs 10:4).
Purpose of Money	Self-actualization and continuous personal luxury.	Stewardship, providing for family, and building God’s kingdom (1 Timothy 6:17-18).
Nature of Poverty	A “mental disease” caused by fear or scarcity blocks.	A complex reality resulting from broken world systems, testing, or seasons.

10 Biblical Counter-Examples & Core Discrepancies

The Nature of Wealth Production
- Murphy: Subconscious visualization creates material wealth directly out of infinite potential.
- KJV Verse: Deuteronomy 8:18 – “But thou shalt remember the Lord thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth…”
The Command to Covet or Contentment
- Murphy: Focus constantly on “avalanches of abundance” and wanting more.
- KJV Verse: Hebrews 13:5 – “Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have…”
The Root of Evil
- Murphy: Money is purely good, divine energy; lack of money is the issue.
- KJV Verse: 1 Timothy 6:10 – “For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith…”
God as Master vs. God as Tool
- Murphy: Command your subconscious to make the universe serve your desires.
- KJV Verse: Matthew 6:24 – “No man can serve two masters… Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
The Source of Provision
- Murphy: The subjective subconscious is the internal “Treasure House.”
- KJV Verse: Philippians 4:19 – “But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.”
The Strategy for Anxiety
- Murphy: Use affirmations to force a high financial vibrational frequency.
- KJV Verse: Matthew 6:33 – “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”
The Danger of Riches
- Murphy: Getting richer every day is the ultimate sign of spiritual alignment.
- KJV Verse: Proverbs 11:28 – “He that trusteth in his riches shall fall: but the righteous shall flourish as a branch.”
The True Definition of “Flow”
- Murphy: Circulate money to ensure it multiplies and returns to you.
- KJV Verse: Luke 6:38 – “Give, and it shall be given unto you… For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” (Contextualized as holy generosity, not a wealth loop).
Suffering and Sovereign Will
- Murphy: Hard times mean your wire is closed or you have “hoarding thoughts.”
- KJV Verse: Job 1:21 – “The Lord gave, and the Lord hath taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord.”
The Heart’s Deceitfulness
- Murphy: Rely entirely on your subjective mind; whatever it accepts, it manifests.
- KJV Verse: Jeremiah 17:9 – “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”

Analyst Strategic Reports

1. Myers-Briggs (MBTI) Psychological Profile

Target Audience Typing: ENFJ / INFJ (The Idealist/Visionary NF Quadrant)
Analysis: Murphy’s materials leverage Introverted Intuition (Ni) and Extroverted Feeling (Fe). He maps material wealth onto highly abstract concepts like “divine circulation” and “living currents of energy,” bypassing logical constraints. This appeals immensely to NF types who seek deep cosmic meaning, but leaves Sensors (S) and Thinkers (T) frustrated by the lack of concrete operational steps or grounded economic realities.

2. John MacArthur Analyst Report

Verdict: Dangerous Heresy / Word of Faith Root
Analysis: Dr. MacArthur evaluates this as an explicit manifestation of gnostic New Thought masquerading as spiritual wisdom. By turning God into a mechanical law governed by human thoughts, Murphy effectively dethrones the Sovereign Lord and elevates man to a deity. MacArthur points out that using biblical concepts to achieve selfish financial gain is exactly what the New Testament explicitly warns against.

3. Paul Washer Analyst Report

Verdict: Complete Deception / Flesh-Pleasing Illusion
Analysis: Washer reviews this from the lens of true repentance and the holiness of God. To Washer, Murphy’s “Infinite Flow” is an idol tailored for a fallen human nature that hates the cross of Christ but loves luxury. Washer contrasts Murphy’s promise of easy financial manifestation with Christ’s narrow road of self-denial, warning that any gospel promising worldly prosperity is designed to keep souls asleep to their actual spiritual bankruptcy.

4. Greg Schad Analyst Report

Verdict: Systems Flaw / Extreme Operational Risk
Analysis: Evaluating this from an enterprise, structural, and “zero-trust” logic lens, Schad notes that Murphy’s “Universal Open System” breaks all rules of realistic boundary control. Relying entirely on an unverified, subjective engine room (the subconscious) without objective data inputs or vulnerability testing creates high-risk financial behavior (e.g., the “joyful spender” mindset), paving the way for predictable and catastrophic personal bankruptcy.

5. Jordan Peterson Analyst Report

Verdict: Archetypal Inflation / Denial of the Shadow
Analysis: Dr. Peterson analyzes this as an attempt to extract the psychological benefits of faith without paying the existential price. Murphy isolates the archetype of the “Bountiful Father” while completely omitting the tragedy of life, the tyranny of systems, and the necessity of personal sacrifice. Peterson argues that telling people poverty is merely a “mental disease” is deeply irresponsible; it ignores historical and evolutionary realities while dangerously inflating the ego.

6. Carl Jung Analyst Report

Verdict: Inflation of the Ego / Misunderstood Archetypal Core
Analysis: Dr. Jung observes that Murphy has discovered the immense, autonomous power of the Unconscious Mind but has deeply miscategorized its function. Treating the subconscious as a literal bank account reduces the vast, numinous Collective Unconscious into an assistant for the conscious ego’s greed. Jung warns that ignoring the shadow and forcing the subconscious via rigid affirmations will ultimately trigger a severe psychological enantiodromia—where the repressed doubts explode outward in personal crisis.

Father God, Let Your Will Be Done, Not My Will mademanministries

This is a major important point about forgiveness

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV

Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?

I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.

When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.

We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.

Women are looking for a fathers love

Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.

Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.

Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)

In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.

All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.

In a world where it is so easy to forget the importance of God, we must remember that He is holy and will not share His glory. America has forgotten this truth and it is time for us to re-examine our relationship with God and recognize that He is the one true God who deserves our full devotion and reverence. We must remember that He will not be taken lightly or ignored, but rather should be honored as the Creator of all things. Only then can we truly experience His love and grace in our lives.
