The Intense Realism of Arthur Schopenhauer

Arthur Schopenhauer (1788–1860) was a German philosopher known for his pessimistic and realistic views on human nature, which challenge idealistic beliefs and offer a realistic perspective on life. He is considered the most widely read philosopher in Germany today and is often called the “philosopher of pessimism.”

Schopenhauer’s philosophy centers on the concept that the underlying force of reality is the Will (or Will-to-Live), a blind, irrational, and purposeless force that drives all existence. Key aspects of his intense realism include:

Critique of Idealism: He dismissed Hegel’s philosophy as “absolute nonsense” and rejected the notion that history follows a rational, teleological plan.
Human Nature: He viewed humans not as inherently noble but as fundamentally flawed, driven by unconscious desires, particularly sexuality, which he saw as the focus of the Will.
Suffering and Desire: He argued that life is essentially suffering because satisfying one desire only leads to another, perpetuating a cycle of striving and dissatisfaction.
Influence: His ideas have significantly influenced thinkers like Friedrich Nietzsche, Richard Wagner, and Sigmund Freud, as well as contemporary authors like Robert Greene (The 48 Laws of Power).

His major works, such as The World as Will and Representation and The Wisdom of Life, provide a sobering counterbalance to optimistic philosophical views, emphasizing a clear-eyed understanding of human motives and social interactions.

3	Ignorance of the Future We are blinded by the present and have no knowledge of the true nature of the world or our destiny.	Ecclesiastes 8:7 “For he knoweth not that which shall be: for who can tell him when it shall be?”	Both point out the strict limitations of human knowledge regarding fate and the true workings of reality.
4	Suffering is Universal The world is a harsh battle for survival; suffering is the default state of existence.	Job 14:1 “Man that is born of a woman is of few days, and full of trouble.”	Both acknowledge that pain, toil, and sorrow are intrinsic to the human condition.
5	The Illusion of Desire Attaining a desire only yields temporary relief; it is a mirage that immediately leads to new suffering.	Ecclesiastes 1:8 “All things are full of labour; man cannot utter it: the eye is not satisfied with seeing, nor the ear filled with hearing.”	Both recognize the cycle of desire: fulfillment is fleeting, and the appetite for more is endless.
6	Life as a Shadow The phenomenal world we perceive is merely the shadow of the true, deeper reality (“Will”).	Ecclesiastes 8:13 “…neither shall he prolong his days, which are as a shadow…”	Both utilize the metaphor of transience and shadows to describe the superficial nature of everyday, earthly phenomena.
7	The Nature of Sin & Vulgarity “Will minus intellect constitutes vulgarity.” Driven by selfish instincts rather than rational clarity.	Proverbs 10:23 “It is as sport to a fool to do mischief…”	Both suggest that lacking intellectual/moral elevation leads individuals to act on purely base, selfish instincts.
8	The Deceitfulness of Wealth Money is merely “happiness in the abstract”; it cannot cure the core pain of existence.	Proverbs 23:5 “Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.”	Both stress the fleeting, unfulfilling nature of material wealth in providing genuine existential peace.
9	Wickedness of Mankind Human nature is generally corrupt, driven by self-interest and egoism.	Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?”	Both share a deeply realistic, often pessimistic view of inherent human selfishness and malice.
10	The Need for Compassion Because all life shares the same underlying suffering, compassion is the only true basis of morality.	Colossians 3:12 “Put on therefore, as the elect of God, holy and beloved, bowels of mercies, kindness…”	Both identify deep, radical empathy and compassion as the ultimate antidote to worldly cruelty and self-interest.

Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?

I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.

When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.

We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.

Women are looking for a fathers love

Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.

Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.

Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)

In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.

All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.
