Your Church and Bitcoin
Churches are increasingly accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as a method for donations, driven by donor demand, tax advantages for givers, and the desire to preserve wealth against inflation. Engiven is a key platform facilitating this by allowing churches to receive crypto and immediately liquidate it into fiat currency, thereby avoiding market volatility and simplifying accounting for organizations like Tithe.ly users.
Key considerations for churches include:
- Tax Benefits: Donors can give appreciated cryptocurrency held for over a year to avoid capital gains tax, while the church receives the full fair market value tax-free. Churches must file IRS Form 8283 to acknowledge receipt and Form 8282 if the crypto is sold within three years.
- Wealth Preservation: Some leaders argue churches should hold Bitcoin rather than liquidate it, citing its historical outperformance of traditional assets like the S&P 500 as a way to build a strategic reserve for long-term mission stability.
- Operational Setup: Churches typically need to open a digital wallet or use a third-party processor like Coinbase or Engiven. Best practices often recommend immediate conversion to cash to manage volatility, unless the church has dedicated expertise to manage digital assets.
- Ethical Debate: While proponents view crypto as a tool for financial freedom and anonymous giving (citing Matthew 6:4), critics argue it promotes hoarding, lacks intrinsic value, and may expose churches to reputational risks associated with the industry’s volatility and past controversies.
What Does The KJV Bible Say?
Bitcoin did not exist in biblical times, KJV scriptures offer timeless principles on wealth, stewardship, and economic systems. These verses guide churches and believers to prioritize spiritual integrity over material greed, whether dealing with fiat money or digital assets.
The following ten examples outline how churches might apply these verses to the concept of Bitcoin and digital wealth:
| Example | Focus | KJV Principle & Application |
|---|---|---|
| 1 | Greed Warning | 1 Tim 6:10 cautions against the “love of money” (coveting/speculation). |
| 2 | Trust | Prov 11:28 warns against trusting in riches rather than God amidst volatility. |
| 3 | Digital Control | Rev 13:17 leads some to analyze crypto/digital ID in the context of end-time systems. |
| 4 | Diversification | Eccl 11:2 encourages spreading assets, not just holding crypto. |
| 5 | Honest Gain | Prov 13:11 promotes value built on labor, not shady, speculative schemes. |
| 6 | Wealth Usage | Prov 13:22 is used to suggest transferring wealth to fund kingdom work. |
| 7 | Stewardship | Matt 25:29 reminds believers to use all assets (like crypto) wisely. |
| 8 | Source | Deut 8:18 emphasizes that wealth, including digital, is given by God. |
| 9 | Support | Gal 6:6 encourages using available tools (including digital) to fund ministry. |
| 10 | Loyalty | Matt 6:24 asserts that service belongs to God, not to money (Mammon). |
How the church handles digital tithes and offerings
Churches handle digital tithes and offerings by integrating online giving platforms, mobile apps, text-to-give services, QR codes, and digital kiosks to facilitate secure, paperless transactions via credit cards, debit cards, or ACH bank transfers. These systems automatically record contributions, generate IRS-compliant receipts, and sync with church management software to streamline accounting and donor tracking.
Key operational aspects include:
- Recurring Giving: Platforms encourage automatic weekly or monthly donations to stabilize budgets and increase overall generosity.
- Fund Allocation: Donors can direct funds to specific categories such as general operations, missions, building projects, or benevolence.
- Security and Fees: Transactions use encryption and PCI-DSS standards; processing fees (typically 2.9% for cards) are often covered by the church or offered as an optional donor contribution.
- Transparency: Digital tools provide real-time reporting and historical trends, helping leaders manage finances and demonstrate stewardship.
Biblical definitions of money and “mammon”
In the Bible, money (or wealth) is a neutral resource created by God that can be used for good or ill, whereas mammon is the personification of wealth as a rival master that demands exclusive loyalty and trust. Derived from the Aramaic māmōnā, meaning “that in which one trusts,” mammon represents material possessions elevated to the status of an idol, competing directly with devotion to God.
Jesus explicitly contrasts these two concepts in Matthew 6:24, stating, “You cannot serve God and mammon,” to illustrate that one cannot have divided allegiance. While money itself is not sinful, it becomes mammon when it becomes the source of security, identity, and power, leading to greed, anxiety, and a rejection of divine providence.
Key distinctions include:
- Nature: Money is a tool for stewardship; mammon is a spiritual force of avarice and false security.
- Allegiance: Serving God requires wholehearted trust in His provision; serving mammon involves trusting in material accumulation.
- Outcome: Faithful use of wealth builds eternal treasure; worship of mammon results in spiritual emptiness and idolatry.
How does the Bible warn against the love of money?
The Bible warns against the love of money by identifying it as a spiritual trap that leads to destruction, apostasy, and eternal loss, rather than condemning wealth itself. The primary warnings focus on how greed displaces God as the center of trust and security.
The Root of Evil
The most famous warning comes from the Apostle Paul in 1 Timothy 6:10, which states, “For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil.”
- Clarification: The text specifies that it is the love (or craving) of money, not money itself, that is dangerous.
- Consequences: This craving causes people to “wander away from the faith” and “pierce themselves with many griefs.” It suggests that greed actively undermines spiritual stability, leading to moral compromise and deep personal sorrow.
The Deception of Security
In the Parable of the Rich Fool (Luke 12:13–21), Jesus illustrates the folly of trusting in material accumulation for security.
- The Scenario: A wealthy man builds larger barns to store his surplus, believing he can now “eat, drink, and be merry” for many years.
- The Verdict: God calls him a “fool” because his life was demanded that very night, rendering his hoarded wealth useless.
- The Lesson: Jesus concludes, “So is the one who lays up treasure for himself and is not rich toward God.” The warning is that life does not consist in the abundance of possessions, and relying on wealth for future security is a fatal spiritual error.
The Call to Contentment
To counter the love of money, Scripture commands contentment and a shift in trust.
- Hebrews 13:5 instructs believers to “Keep your life free from love of money, and be content with what you have,” promising that God will never leave nor forsake them.
- Matthew 6:24 reinforces that one cannot serve two masters; trusting in mammon (wealth) inevitably leads to serving it rather than God.
The biblical antidote to the love of money is not poverty, but generosity and storing up “treasure in heaven” (Matthew 6:20), ensuring that one’s heart remains aligned with eternal values rather than temporary material gain.

This is a major important point about forgiveness
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV
Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?
I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.
When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.
We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.
Women are looking for a fathers love
Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.
Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.
Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)
In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

Spiritual Order – In The Family and Church

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.
All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.

After Reading The Passage I would Recommend Doing A Silent Prayer
Its is said: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 King James Version (KJV)

In a world where it is so easy to forget the importance of God, we must remember that He is holy and will not share His glory. America has forgotten this truth and it is time for us to re-examine our relationship with God and recognize that He is the one true God who deserves our full devotion and reverence. We must remember that He will not be taken lightly or ignored, but rather should be honored as the Creator of all things. Only then can we truly experience His love and grace in our lives.
