No-Fault Divorce has Infiltrated the Church (Interview with Jeff Leubecker)
No-fault divorce permits legal dissolution without proving marital misconduct, whereas biblical marriage is defined as a permanent covenant dissolvable only by death or specific exceptions.
Scriptural Boundaries: The King James Version establishes Genesis 2:24 (“they shall be one flesh”) and Matthew 19:6 (“what God hath joined together, let not man put asunder”) as the foundation for lifelong marital unity.
Biblical Exceptions: Traditional texts permit divorce only in cases of sexual immorality (Matthew 5:32, 19:9) or abandonment by an unbeliever (1 Corinthians 7:15), contrasting with civil laws that allow dissolution for irreconcilable differences without fault.
Related content in the context includes:
- Catholic Culture and Mary’s Advocates argue that the Church failed to resist the state’s monopoly on divorce, allowing no-fault laws to undermine marriage covenants.
- First Things and The Wesleyan Church critique no-fault divorce for destroying the binding nature of marriage and lacking accountability.
- Sojourners features a pastor defending no-fault divorce as a necessary escape from domestic violence, contrasting with conservative views.
- American Reformer discusses the need for churches to re-engage with fault-based standards and discipline.
What Does The KJV Bible Say?
Biblical Standards vs. No-Fault Divorce (KJV)
No-fault divorce allows legal dissolution without proving wrongdoing, which conflicts with traditional biblical texts. Scripture consistently treats marriage as a permanent covenant. The table below outlines how specific King James Version (KJV) verses define biblical marriage boundaries compared to the concept of modern no-fault systems.
| KJV Scripture Reference | Core Biblical Standard | Contrast with No-Fault Divorce |
|---|---|---|
| Malachi 2:16 | “For the LORD, the God of Israel, saith that he hateth putting away…” | Explicitly states God’s hatred for arbitrary separation, whereas no-fault simplifies it. |
| Matthew 19:6 | “What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” | Establishes marriage as a divine bond that human legal systems shouldn’t easily dissolve. |
| Matthew 19:9 | “…except it be for fornication, and shall marry another, committeth adultery…” | Limits allowable divorce to sexual immorality, providing no room for “irreconcilable differences.” |
| Mark 10:11-12 | “…Whosoever shall put away his wife, and marry another, committeth adultery against her.” | Warns that arbitrary legal separation followed by remarriage constitutes adultery. |
| Luke 16:18 | “…whosoever marrieth her that is put away from her husband committeth adultery.” | Reinforces strict accountability regarding the spiritual status of divorced individuals. |
| Romans 7:2 | “…The woman which hath an husband is bound by the law to her husband so long as he liveth…” | Places the natural end of marriage strictly at physical death, not a legal decree. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:10-11 | “…Let not the wife depart from her husband: But and if she depart, let her remain unmarried…” | Commands reconciliation or remaining single if a separation occurs, rejecting casual remarriage. |
| 1 Corinthians 7:39 | “The wife is bound by the law as long as her husband liveth…” | Rehashes the lifelong constraint of the marriage contract under God’s law. |
| Genesis 2:24 | “…and they shall be one flesh.” | Defines the structural union of marriage as an inseparable, ontological reality. |
| Proverbs 6:32 | “But whoso committeth adultery with a woman lacketh understanding…” | Pinpoints moral failure as a severe covenant violation, requiring accountability rather than a “no-fault” clean slate. |
10 Examples of “No-Fault” Ideology Infiltrating Modern Churches
- Sermon Shift: Pastors framing marital drift as an obstacle to “personal fulfillment” rather than a call to mutual repentance.
- No-Fault Counseling: Church counseling programs prioritizing individual emotional happiness over covenant preservation.
- Leadership Laxity: Allowing leaders or pastors to divorce for incompatible personalities without requiring accountability or stepping down.
- Premarital Clauses: Couples requesting—and churches accepting—vows centered on conditional timelines (“as long as our love shall last”).
- Discipline Absence: Complete abandonment of church discipline (Matthew 18) for spouses who unilaterally walk out on their marriages.
- Therapeutic Theology: Replacing biblical terms like “sin” or “covenant breaking” with psychological terms like “uncoupling.”
- Quick-Fix Small Groups: Divorce recovery programs focused heavily on moving on, without addressing or analyzing biblical grounds.
- Passive Agreement: Church leaders signing off on legal divorces quietly to avoid public controversy or awkward legal depositions.
- Financial Incentives: Churches avoiding strict stands on marital preservation out of fear of losing tithes from fragmented families.
- Cultural Accommodation: Adapting pastoral care models to mimic secular legal standards, providing a “sad but necessary” rubber stamp to split households.
Multi-Perspective Analyst Reports
1. Myers-Briggs (MBTI) Analyst Report
- The Paradigm Split (Thinking vs. Feeling): Institutional church shift from structural, objective judgment (T) toward highly subjective, individual harmony (F). No-fault systems naturally appeal to Extraverted Feeling (Fe) functions focused on alleviating immediate personal friction and keeping social peace, while bypassing the rigorous, systemic internal logic (Ti) of historical biblical covenants.
- Perceiving vs. Judging (P vs J): The rise of “no-fault” acceptance signals a shift toward flexible, adaptable lifestyles (P) over strictly ordered, permanent structural vows (J).
2. John MacArthur Analyst Report
- The Theological Breakdown: MacArthur’s perspective emphasizes that no-fault divorce is a direct symptom of theological compromise and pragmatism inside the church. By bypassing the clear biblical mandates laid out in Matthew 19 and 1 Corinthians 7, churches prioritize cultural comfort over divine authority.
- The Verdict: Allowing the secular state’s legal definition of marriage to dictate church practice strips the church of its holiness, turning a sacred covenant into a disposable contract.
3. Jordan Maxwell Analyst Report
- The Astro-Theological & Legal Matrix: Maxwell’s framework analyzes how modern church structures are bound by Maritime Admiralty Law and commercial corporate contracts (such as 501(c)(3) statuses) rather than ancient, sovereign spiritual laws.
- The Systemic Deception: No-fault divorce is seen not as a modern cultural choice, but as an intentional legal mechanism created by secular systems to break down independent family units, making the individuals entirely reliant on the corporate state structure.
4. Carl Jung Analyst Report
- The Psychological Shadow: From a Jungian perspective, the “no-fault” narrative represents an escape from the psychological Shadow work inherent to long-term marriage. Marriage forces an individual to confront their projections and integrate their unconscious flaws through their partner.
- Anima/Animus Projections: When the honeymoon projection fades, individuals mistake psychological tension for incompatibility. No-fault divorce offers an easy exit, preventing true psychological maturity and individuation by letting people run away from their internal mirrors.

This is a major important point about forgiveness
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV
Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?
I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.
When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.
We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.
Women are looking for a fathers love
Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.
Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.
Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)
In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

Spiritual Order – In The Family and Church

Here is Book, Chapter and Verse from the Kings James Version 1 Corinthian 11:2-16, But the main message is in 1 Corinthian 11:3: “3 But I would have you know, that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God.”

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.
All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.

After Reading The Passage I would Recommend Doing A Silent Prayer
Its is said: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 King James Version (KJV)

In a world where it is so easy to forget the importance of God, we must remember that He is holy and will not share His glory. America has forgotten this truth and it is time for us to re-examine our relationship with God and recognize that He is the one true God who deserves our full devotion and reverence. We must remember that He will not be taken lightly or ignored, but rather should be honored as the Creator of all things. Only then can we truly experience His love and grace in our lives.
