The absence of friends reveals what almost no one understands
The absence of friends reveals a profound truth that most people overlook: true connection is not about quantity, but about depth and mutual vulnerability.
Many assume that having no close friends means something is wrong with them, but the reality is often the opposite—loneliness in adulthood is frequently not due to a lack of people, but a lack of safe, reciprocal relationships where one can be fully seen. As highlighted in psychological research, people who lack close friends often struggle with emotional isolation, where even a large social circle fails to provide the deep understanding needed to feel truly known.
This gap is not a personal failure, but a symptom of modern life’s erosion of “third spaces”—shared environments like clubs, religious groups, or community centers—that once naturally fostered friendship. The deeper insight? You don’t need more friends; you need the courage to be seen as you are.
The most meaningful connections are built not through performance or politeness, but through the willingness to show up with your unvarnished truth—even when it’s messy or imperfect. As one person reflected after a decade without close friends: “Depth doesn’t require duration. You can be deeply understood in ten minutes by a stranger more than you have in ten years by an acquaintance.”
What Does The KJV Bible Say?
According to King James Version (KJV) Bible verses, the absence of friends often acts as a catalyst to reveal truths about spiritual reliance, the necessity of God’s presence, and the true character of human relationships, which many fail to understand. While worldly wisdom suggests friendship is essential for success, the Bible indicates that seasons of friendlessness reveal that God is the only constant, faithful “friend”.
Here are the key revelations and corresponding KJV verses:
Biblical Revelations in the Absence of Friends
| Theme/Truth Revealed | Key KJV Verse(s) | The “Hidden” Understanding |
|---|---|---|
| God is the Ultimate Friend | Proverbs 18:24 – “…there is a friend that sticketh closer than a brother.” | People may abandon you, but God remains present, closer than family. |
| Human Support is Temporary | Psalm 88:18 – “Lover and friend hast thou put far from me, and mine acquaintance into darkness.” | Total isolation can be allowed by God to force total reliance on Him. |
| Divine Strength in Weakness | 2 Corinthians 12:9 – “…my strength is made perfect in weakness.” | Being “friendless” or lonely highlights your need for divine strength, not just human help. |
| God’s Presence is Sufficent | Hebrews 13:5 – “…for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee.” | The lack of friends reveals the reality of God’s promise of constant companionship. |
| True Friendships are Rare | Proverbs 17:17 – “A friend loveth at all times, and a brother is born for adversity.” | The absence of friends reveals who was truly a friend and who was only there for convenience. |
| Danger of Misplaced Trust | Psalm 118:8 – “It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.” | Friendlessness exposes that human alliances are fragile, while divine loyalty is absolute. |
Summary of What is Revealed
- That You Are Never Truly Alone: The absence of human friends often reveals the intense, immediate presence of God as a “friend that sticketh closer than a brother” (Proverbs 18:24).
- The True Nature of People: It highlights that some friendships are based on seasons or utility, rather than unconditional love.
- The Necessity of Spiritual Growth: Times of isolation (like David’s in Psalm 25:16-18) are often permitted to move a person from depending on man to finding refuge in God.
- The Purpose of Adversity: As Proverbs 17:17 suggests, a brother is born for adversity; when friends are gone, it reveals the strength of family or the deep need for a “brother” who helps in difficult times.
What Does The Talmud Say?
The Talmud emphasizes that the absence of friends reveals a profound spiritual and emotional emptiness, underscoring that meaningful human connection is essential for a fulfilling life. This insight is rooted in several key teachings:
- “Either a friend or death” (Talmud, Bava Bathra 16b): This saying reflects the deep truth that life without companionship is not worth living. The Talmud suggests that the absence of friends renders existence unbearable, and even death becomes a welcome relief.
- “Acquire for yourself a friend” (Pirkei Avot 1:6): The imperative to actively cultivate friendship is not just a social suggestion but a spiritual duty. The absence of such a bond indicates a failure to fulfill a core ethical obligation.
- “The world is a dark place for one who looks to the table of others [for his sustenance]” (Rav, Beitza 32b): While this quote speaks to dependency, it indirectly highlights the loneliness and vulnerability that come with isolation—especially when one lacks friends to share life’s burdens and joys.
Below is a summary table of these Talmudic insights:
| Talmudic Teaching | Meaning | Implication of Absence of Friends |
| “Either a friend or death” (Bava Bathra 16b) | Life without a friend is not worth living. | The absence of friends leads to emotional despair and a sense of life’s futility. |
| “Acquire for yourself a friend” (Pirkei Avot 1:6) | Friendship is a moral and spiritual necessity. | Without friends, one fails in a fundamental duty of ethical living. |
| “The world is a dark place…” (Beitza 32b) | Relying on others for basic needs without connection breeds isolation. | Lack of friends results in spiritual darkness and emotional vulnerability. |
These teachings collectively reveal that the absence of friends exposes a deep human need for connection, wisdom, and mutual support—a truth often overlooked in modern life.
As You seek understanding and clarity in your life you should always turn to your Heavenly Father for Guidance

This is a major important point about forgiveness
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV
Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?
I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.
When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.
We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.
Women are looking for a fathers love
Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.
Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.
Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)
In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.
All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.
After Reading The Passage I would Recommend Doing A Silent Prayer
Its is said: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 King James Version (KJV)

In a world where it is so easy to forget the importance of God, we must remember that He is holy and will not share His glory. America has forgotten this truth and it is time for us to re-examine our relationship with God and recognize that He is the one true God who deserves our full devotion and reverence. We must remember that He will not be taken lightly or ignored, but rather should be honored as the Creator of all things. Only then can we truly experience His love and grace in our lives.
