Lord’s Prayer Psalms, Psalm 41
The Lord’s Prayer and the Psalms are deeply interconnected, with the Lord’s Prayer drawing on themes and language found throughout the Psalms. The opening line of the Lord’s Prayer, “Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,” echoes the psalmist’s call to honor God’s name, a theme prevalent in numerous Psalms. The request for God’s kingdom to come and His will to be done on earth as it is in heaven reflects the psalmist’s longing for God’s sovereignty and righteousness to be established. The plea for daily bread is a direct request for God’s provision, a concept also central to Psalm 23, where God is described as the shepherd who ensures His people lack nothing. Furthermore, the Lord’s Prayer’s petition for forgiveness of debts, paralleling the forgiveness of sins, aligns with the penitential nature of many Psalms, such as the Penitential Psalms. The final doxology, “For thine is the kingdom, the power, and the glory, for ever and ever. Amen,” is a powerful expression of praise, a common conclusion found in many Psalms.
- Thematic Resonance: The Lord’s Prayer’s structure and content are deeply rooted in the Psalms. The opening address to God as Father and the call for His name to be hallowed are consistent with the psalmist’s worship. The desire for God’s kingdom and will to be fulfilled mirrors the psalmist’s hope for divine justice and rule.
- Request for Provision: The request for “daily bread” in the Lord’s Prayer finds its foundation in the Psalms, particularly Psalm 23, which describes God as the provider who leads His people to green pastures and still waters, ensuring they lack nothing.
- Forgiveness and Penance: The petition for forgiveness of sins or debts is a staple of Jewish prayer, as seen in the Penitential Psalms, and is a central theme in the Lord’s Prayer, emphasizing the need for forgiveness in the same manner as one forgives others.
- Praise and Doxology: The concluding doxology, affirming God’s eternal kingdom, power, and glory, is a direct echo of the praise found in the final verses of many Psalms, such as Psalm 41.
Psalm 41 is the 41st psalm of the Book of Psalms, attributed to King David, and begins in English with “Blessed is he who has regard for the weak”. It is the final psalm in Book One of the Psalms and is traditionally seen as a liturgical conclusion to that section. In the Greek Septuagint and Latin Vulgate versions, this psalm is numbered as Psalm 40.
The psalm opens with a blessing on those who show concern for the poor, stating that the Lord will deliver them in times of trouble. It describes the Lord’s protection and preservation of the afflicted, who are counted among the blessed in the land and are not surrendered to their enemies. The psalmist, likely David, expresses his own suffering and illness, stating that the Lord sustains him on his sickbed and restores him from his bed of illness. He calls upon the Lord for mercy and healing, acknowledging his own sinfulness.
The psalmist laments the malice of his enemies, who speak falsely and spread slander about him, whispering together against him and imagining the worst, including the belief that he is afflicted with a vile disease and will never rise from his bed. A poignant verse describes betrayal by a close friend, someone he trusted and who shared his bread, who has lifted up his heel against him. This verse is often interpreted as a reference to Judas Iscariot’s betrayal of Jesus, particularly in the context of the Last Supper.
The psalmist expresses his faith in God’s favor, knowing that his enemy does not triumph over him, and affirms that God upholds him in his integrity and sets him before His presence forever. The psalm concludes with a doxology: “Praise be to the LORD, the God of Israel, from everlasting to everlasting. Amen and Amen”.
Psalm 41 holds a significant place in various religious traditions. It is a regular part of Jewish, Catholic, Lutheran, Anglican, and other Protestant liturgies. It is recited in the Liturgy of the Hours at Vespers on a Friday of the first week, prayed in the Coptic Church’s office of Terce, and appointed for reading on the evening of the eighth day of the month in the Church of England’s Book of Common Prayer. The psalm has also inspired musical compositions, including a metred German version by Heinrich Schütz and the English text of Handel’s Foundling Hospital Anthem, which is adapted from its opening lines. It is one of the ten Psalms of the Tikkun HaKlali of Rebbe Nachman of Breslov. Verse 4 is found in the repetition of the Amidah during Rosh Hashanah.

This is a major important point about forgiveness
Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV
Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?
I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.
When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.
We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.
Women are looking for a fathers love
Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.
Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.
Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)
In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

Spiritual Order – In The Family and Church

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.
All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.
After Reading The Passage I would Recommend Doing A Silent Prayer
Its is said: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 King James Version (KJV)

In a world where it is so easy to forget the importance of God, we must remember that He is holy and will not share His glory. America has forgotten this truth and it is time for us to re-examine our relationship with God and recognize that He is the one true God who deserves our full devotion and reverence. We must remember that He will not be taken lightly or ignored, but rather should be honored as the Creator of all things. Only then can we truly experience His love and grace in our lives.
