Trump’s 4 MASSIVE Credit Score Changes Jan 1, 2026 | Everyone Will Be Impacted
Beginning January 1, 2026, the Trump administration is advancing four major credit score and lending policy changes aimed at disrupting the dominance of FICO and the three major credit bureaus—Equifax, Experian, and TransUnion. These reforms, rooted in legislation and regulatory actions from 2018 onward, are designed to increase competition, expand access to credit, and reduce reliance on traditional FICO scores—especially in the mortgage market.
The most impactful change is the elimination of the 620 minimum credit score requirement for loans processed through Fannie Mae’s Desktop Underwriter (DU) system, effective November 16, 2025. Instead of a hard cutoff, DU will now assess borrowers using a broader set of risk factors, including credit history, income, debt levels, and property characteristics. This shift allows lenders to approve mortgages for individuals with thin or lower credit files, particularly benefiting first-time homebuyers and underserved communities.
While credit scores are not being eliminated, they will no longer be the sole gatekeeper for mortgage approval in government-backed lending. However, credit scores will still influence interest rates, meaning poor credit could result in unaffordable loan terms despite approval eligibility.
Expansion of VantageScore 4.0 in Government-Backed Mortgages
A cornerstone of the reform is the official adoption of VantageScore 4.0 for mortgages sold to Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, announced by the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA) in mid-2025. This marks a significant shift from the long-standing reliance on FICO models, particularly FICO 10T.
VantageScore 4.0 differs critically by incorporating rent and utility payments into its scoring model, offering a more comprehensive view of financial responsibility. This change is expected to help millions of creditworthy Americans—especially renters and those with limited traditional credit histories—qualify for homeownership.
Bill Pulte, director of the FHFA, emphasized that this move increases competition in the credit scoring ecosystem and aligns with President Trump’s mandate to lower consumer costs. The decision does not require lenders to rebuild infrastructure, as it maintains the “trimerge” reporting system but now allows VantageScore 4.0 as a valid alternative.
AI and Alternative Data Models Reshaping Credit Access
The Trump administration is accelerating the use of AI-driven credit assessment tools that analyze real-time financial behavior beyond traditional credit data. Major institutions like Chase have adopted platforms such as Nova Credit’s CashAnalytics and Plaid’s risk scoring models to evaluate cash flow and international credit histories.
These tools enable lenders to serve customers who are often excluded by conventional scoring—such as immigrants, young adults, and gig workers—by assessing actual spending, savings, and payment patterns. This shift supports the administration’s goal of financial inclusion while reducing dependency on FICO and the credit bureaus.
Chase Branded Cards president Chris Reagan stated that these tools provide a “more comprehensive view into each individual,” allowing for better risk assessment and appropriately sized credit lines.
FICO and Credit Bureaus Forced into Competition
In a dramatic market shift, FICO has begun selling its scores directly to lenders, bypassing the credit bureaus that previously acted as intermediaries. This move, announced in late 2025, undermines the long-standing business model of Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion, causing their stocks to decline amid fears of revenue erosion.
The change was triggered by regulatory pressure and the rise of competing models like VantageScore and AI analytics. No longer able to operate in tandem, FICO and the bureaus are now direct competitors—a development the Trump administration views as essential for market fairness and innovation.
This structural shift is expected to reduce costs and increase transparency, though industry experts warn of short-term instability as lenders adapt to multiple scoring standards.
What Is Credit Karma?
Credit Karma is a personal finance company founded in 2007 by Kenneth Lin, Ryan Graciano, and Nichole Mustard, which has been a brand of Intuit since December 2020. It operates in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom, offering free access to credit scores and credit reports from major credit bureaus TransUnion and Equifax. The platform provides daily credit monitoring, identity theft protection, and tools such as a Credit Score Simulator to help users understand how financial actions might affect their credit. Credit Karma also offers tailored recommendations for credit cards, personal loans, and mortgage products based on users’ credit profiles and approval odds.
The company generates revenue primarily through cost-per-action transactions, earning commissions when users successfully apply for and are approved for financial products recommended through its platform. It also earns income from targeted advertising for financial services, including mortgage and insurance leads. Credit Karma uses the VantageScore 3.0 credit-scoring model to calculate scores, which is widely used by lenders, including nine of the top 10 banks. While the scores provided are generally accurate and in the same range as those used by lenders, they may differ slightly from FICO scores, which are more commonly used by lenders.
In addition to credit monitoring, Credit Karma offers services like Unclaimed Money, which helps users find unclaimed refunds and insurance payouts, and Credit Karma Tax, a free U.S. tax filing service, although this was divested in 2020 due to antitrust concerns. In November 2023, Intuit announced the shutdown of the Mint service, with its integration into Credit Karma planned for January 2024. The platform has over 120 million users globally and is known for its personalized financial insights and alerts.

Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?
I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.
When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.
We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.
Women are looking for a fathers love
Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.
Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.
Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.
And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)
In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.
All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.
