What does the Bible say about the End Times, Tribulation and the Rapture?

What does the Bible say about the End Times, Tribulation and the Rapture?

The Bible provides several key passages and concepts related to the End Times, Tribulation, and Rapture. According to biblical prophecy, the Tribulation is a seven-year period that will begin immediately following the Rapture. During this time, evil will spread without restraint, and the world will experience diseases, natural disasters, wars, and devastation. The Antichrist will emerge towards the end of this period, personifying Satan’s evil.

There are differing views among Christians regarding the timing of the Rapture in relation to the Tribulation:

  1. Pre-Tribulation: This view holds that the Rapture will occur before the Tribulation begins, protecting believers from the trials and tribulations to come. This interpretation is supported by passages like 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and Revelation 3:10.
  2. Mid-Tribulation: Some believe the Rapture will happen halfway through the Tribulation, after the first three and a half years. This view is based on Revelation 12:14 and Revelation 14, which speak of a period of protection for believers.
  3. Post-Tribulation: This perspective suggests that the Rapture will occur at the end of the Tribulation, coinciding with Christ’s return to earth. This view is supported by passages such as Matthew 24:29-31, where Jesus speaks of gathering his elect after the tribulation.
  4. Pre-Wrath: A variation of the mid-tribulation view, this perspective posits that the Rapture will occur just before the final outpouring of God’s wrath during the last half of the Tribulation.

The concept of the Rapture involves the transformation and catching up of all Christians, both living and dead, to meet Christ in the air. This event is described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Corinthians 15:50-54. It is seen as a secret event, unknown to the world of unbelievers at the time of its happening, which will result in the absence of multitudes of people on earth.

In summary, while there are differing views on the exact timing of the Rapture and the nature of the Tribulation, the Bible consistently emphasizes the importance of being spiritually prepared for these events.

What does the Bible say about the End Times, Tribulation and the Rapture, according to the Schiofield Bible

The Schofield Bible, known for its study notes, aligns with the dispensationalist view on the End Times, Tribulation, and Rapture. According to this perspective:

  • Rapture: The rapture is seen as an event where believers are taken to heaven before the Tribulation begins. This is based on passages like 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18 and 1 Thessalonians 5:9-10, which suggest believers will be spared from God’s wrath during the Tribulation. The rapture is believed to occur before the seven-year Tribulation period, as stated in Revelation 3:10, promising believers will be kept from the hour of trial.
  • Tribulation: The Tribulation is a seven-year period of intense chaos and suffering on Earth, as described in Daniel 9:24-27 and Revelation. It is characterized by war, pestilence, and other forms of destruction. The Antichrist is expected to emerge during this time, and the world will face unprecedented calamities.
  • End Times: The End Times encompass the period leading up to and including the Tribulation and the Second Coming of Christ. This period is marked by significant events such as the Rapture, the Tribulation, and the establishment of Christ’s millennial reign on Earth. After the Tribulation, Christ is expected to return to judge the living and the dead, followed by the creation of a new heaven and earth.

These interpretations are based on a literal reading of the Bible and are widely discussed in Christian eschatology literature.

How does the Schofield Bible difference from the King James Bible about the End Times, Tribulation and the Rapture?

Scofield Bible End Times Differences

The Scofield Reference Bible, edited by Cyrus I. Scofield, includes the King James Version text but adds extensive notes and commentary that significantly influence interpretations of the End Times, Tribulation, and Rapture. Here are the key differences:

  • End Times: The Scofield Bible promotes a dispensationalist view of the End Times, which includes a belief in a future seven-year period known as the Tribulation. This period is seen as a time of great tribulation and judgment before the return of Christ. In contrast, the King James Version itself does not provide commentary or interpretation on these concepts; it simply presents the biblical text without additional notes.
  • Tribulation: The Scofield Bible interprets the Tribulation as a literal, future event that will last for seven years, during which time there will be great suffering and persecution. This interpretation is not directly supported by the King James Version text alone but is derived from Scofield’s commentary. The King James Version text itself does not specify a duration or nature of the Tribulation without additional interpretation.
  • Rapture: The Scofield Bible is known for popularizing the pre-tribulation rapture theory, which posits that believers will be taken up to heaven before the Tribulation begins. This belief is not explicitly stated in the King James Version text but is a result of Scofield’s commentary and interpretation of certain biblical passages. The King James Version text does not provide commentary on when believers will be taken up to heaven.

These differences highlight how the Scofield Bible’s commentary can shape readers’ understanding of complex biblical concepts like the End Times, Tribulation, and Rapture, beyond the text of the King James Version itself.

The following table summarizes the key differences between the Scofield Reference Bible and the King James Bible on the topics of End Times, Tribulation, and the Rapture:

TopicScofield Reference BibleKing James Bible
End TimesEmphasizes dispensationalism and the distinction between the Church and IsraelPresents the biblical text without interpretation or explanation
TribulationSupports the idea of a pre-tribulation rapture and a 7-year Tribulation periodDoes not provide any interpretation or explanation of the Tribulation
RaptureEmphasizes the idea of a secret rapture of the Church before the TribulationDoes not mention the Rapture explicitly, but presents the biblical text related to the Second Coming of Jesus

It’s worth noting that the Scofield Reference Bible’s annotations and commentary have been influential in shaping the theological views of many Christians, particularly in the area of dispensationalism. However, other Christians may interpret the biblical text differently, and may not agree with the views presented in the Scofield Reference Bible.

This is a major important point about forgiveness

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV

Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?

I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.

When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.

We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.

Women are looking for a fathers love

Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in Christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave theses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.

Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.

Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)

In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.

All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.

In a world where it is so easy to forget the importance of God, we must remember that He is holy and will not share His glory. America has forgotten this truth and it is time for us to re-examine our relationship with God and recognize that He is the one true God who deserves our full devotion and reverence. We must remember that He will not be taken lightly or ignored, but rather should be honored as the Creator of all things. Only then can we truly experience His love and grace in our lives.
