Is FEAR – The Destroyer of Relationships?

Is FEAR – The Destroyer of Relationships?

Fear can definitely be a major destroyer of relationships, but it’s not the only culprit. Here’s a breakdown of how fear can negatively impact relationships and some ways to navigate it:

How Fear Hurts Relationships:

  • Fear of intimacy: Fear of getting close or being vulnerable can prevent us from forming deep, meaningful connections.
  • Fear of rejection: This fear can lead us to hold back from expressing our feelings or needs, creating distance and resentment.
  • Fear of abandonment: This fear can make us clingy or controlling, pushing loved ones away.
  • Fear of betrayal: This fear can make it difficult to trust others, leading to suspicion and jealousy.
  • Fear of conflict: This fear can prevent us from communicating openly and honestly, leading to misunderstandings and resentment.

How to Manage Fear in Relationships:

  • Identify your fears: Understanding where your fear is coming from is the first step to overcoming it.
  • Communicate openly: Talk to your partner about your fears and anxieties. Open communication can help build trust and understanding.
  • Practice self-compassion: Be kind to yourself. Everyone experiences fear sometimes.
  • Focus on the present: Don’t let past experiences or future worries sabotage your current relationship.
  • Build trust gradually: Take things slow and allow trust to develop organically.
  • Seek professional help: If your fears are overwhelming, consider talking to a therapist who can help you develop coping mechanisms.

It’s important to remember:

  • Fear is a natural human emotion.
  • Healthy relationships involve open communication and working through challenges together.
  • There are ways to manage fear and build stronger relationships.

Fear is a natural human emotion, 10 ways to overcome Fear

You’re absolutely right, fear is a natural human emotion and it plays an important role in keeping us safe. But sometimes fear can become overwhelming and hold us back from living our lives to the fullest. Here are 10 ways to overcome fear and embrace courage:

  1. Identify your fear: The first step is to understand what you’re afraid of. Is it public speaking? Heights? Social situations? Once you pinpoint the specific fear, you can start to develop strategies to address it.
  2. Challenge your thoughts: Fearful thoughts are often distorted or exaggerated. Challenge these thoughts with evidence and logic. For example, if you’re afraid of public speaking and think “Everyone will judge me,” remind yourself of past presentations that went well or focus on the message you want to deliver.
  3. Face your fear gradually: Don’t try to jump straight into the deep end. Start with small, manageable exposures to your fear and gradually increase the difficulty. This could involve joining a public speaking club or practicing presentations in front of a mirror before moving to a larger audience.
  4. Practice relaxation techniques: Deep breathing exercises, meditation, and progressive muscle relaxation can all help to calm your body and mind when you’re feeling anxious. By managing your physical response to fear, you can think more clearly and make rational decisions.
  5. Visualize success: Imagine yourself successfully facing your fear. See yourself delivering a confident presentation, climbing to the top of the mountain, or striking up a conversation with someone new. Visualization can help to program your brain for success and boost your confidence.
  6. Seek support: Talk to friends, family, or a therapist about your fears. Having a support system can make a big difference. They can offer encouragement, hold you accountable, and provide a safe space to share your anxieties.
  7. Focus on what you can control: You can’t control everything, but you can control your own thoughts, actions, and reactions. Focus on the things you can influence and let go of the rest.
  8. Reward yourself: Celebrate your successes, no matter how small. This will help to reinforce positive behavior and motivate you to keep facing your fears.
  9. Remember, everyone feels fear: Fear is a universal human experience. Don’t feel ashamed of being afraid.
  10. Take action: The most important step is to take action, even if it’s just a small step. The more you face your fears, the less power they will have over you.

Healthy relationships involve open communication and working through challenges together. 5 ways to communication better with people

Open communication is the bedrock of healthy relationships. Here are 5 ways to improve your communication skills:

  1. Practice Active Listening: This goes beyond simply hearing what someone is saying. Pay close attention to their words, body language, and tone of voice. Ask clarifying questions to ensure you understand their perspective. Avoid interrupting and summarize what you’ve heard to show you’re engaged.
  2. Focus on “I” Statements: When expressing concerns, use “I” statements to take ownership of your feelings. For example, instead of saying “You always make me wait,” try “I feel frustrated when I have to wait for extended periods.” This approach reduces defensiveness and fosters a more productive conversation.
  3. Be Mindful of Nonverbal Cues: Your body language and tone of voice speak volumes. Maintain eye contact, use open body language, and speak in a calm and respectful tone. Nonverbal cues that contradict your words can create confusion and mixed messages.
  4. Validate Feelings: Acknowledge and validate the other person’s emotions, even if you don’t agree with them. Saying things like “I understand you’re feeling upset” or “It sounds like you’re frustrated” shows empathy and creates a safe space for open communication.
  5. Choose the Right Time and Place: Don’t try to have important conversations when you’re angry or upset. Pick a calm moment when you can both focus on the issue at hand. Find a private space where you won’t be interrupted and can speak freely.

What Does The Bible Say About Fear And How To Overcome Sin?

The Bible addresses both fear and sin throughout the King James Version (KJV). Here’s a breakdown of what it says about each topic:

On Fear:

  • Fear is acknowledged as a natural human emotion: The Bible recognizes that fear is a common experience. Here are some verses that illustrate this:
    • “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.” (2 Timothy 1:7)
  • God offers strength and comfort to overcome fear: Many verses emphasize that God is a source of strength and courage, encouraging us to rely on Him:
    • “The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?” (Psalms 27:1)
    • “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.” (Isaiah 41:10)
  • Perfect love casts out fear: The Bible teaches that true love for God drives out fear:
    • “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.” (1 John 4:18)

On Overcoming Sin:

  • Confession and repentance are key: The Bible emphasizes the importance of acknowledging and repenting from sin:
    • “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” (1 John 1:9)
  • God’s grace offers forgiveness and redemption: The Bible emphasizes that God’s grace allows for forgiveness and a chance to turn away from sin:
    • “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)
  • Faith and good works are necessary: While faith is essential for salvation, good works are also important:
    • “James 2:17 Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” (James 2:17)

This is a major important point about forgiveness

Leave there thy gift before the altar, and go thy way; first be reconciled to thy brother, and then come and offer thy gift. -MATTHEW 5:24 KJV

Are You Your Own Worst Enemy?

I would start out by saying what Jesus Christ would want us to do? Pray and how should we pray? The Lord’s Prayer, and how often should we pray? Continually. Why do we use the Lord’s Prayer and not some other? The Lord’s Prayer covers all the areas that is important for our spiritual being.

When we pray the Lords prayer we ask to forgive our enemies, let God’s will be done, the kingdom to come. By praying the Lord’s prayer we let go of many thoughts we have in our head and give them back to God so we can have things revealed to us.

We must overcome resentment in our heart, and in a past video I shared about Dr. Jordan Peterson talks about how resentment can destroy us and we become our own very worst enemy and Jordan goes on to say that we must talk to people what we have resentment toward to overcome that resentment. Other people who lived in the past who talked about this is Jesus Christ and someone who is living now who talks about this daily is Brother Augustine, Dr. John MacArthur, Dr. Charles Stanley, Rev. John Piper and Pastor Paul Washer.

Women are looking for a fathers love

Women are looking for a fathers love. Its important that men understand women are looking for a fathers love and not get screwed. Woman more than anything are looking for a strong spiritual man to lead the future (the family). I think in many YouTube videos on biblical teachings, how young women are being hurt by men that are just looking to get laid instead of doing right and being in christ and setting a good example of a strong man. We must be in Christ, hate no one, love all, forgave thoses we resent, love what is right and support people who are walking with God.

Women need their fathers in their lives to be strong man to be good examples and not BETA men or weak examples of what a man should be. Its important that a man leads the way as Christ leads men, we as man need to fellow Jesus Christ to keep society from going to HELL.

Every day you can see or people watch how some men and women our living in hell without the right spiritual order then you will continue your hellish way according to 2 Peter. You can also find it in Romans. God will give you over to a reprobate mind.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient. – Romans 1:28 (KJV)

In Romans 1, Paul refers to something known as a reprobate mind. If you’re not familiar with the term reprobate, the literal definition in the Greek is failing to pass the test, unapproved, counterfeit.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.

All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we have resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.

In a world where it is so easy to forget the importance of God, we must remember that He is holy and will not share His glory. America has forgotten this truth and it is time for us to re-examine our relationship with God and recognize that He is the one true God who deserves our full devotion and reverence. We must remember that He will not be taken lightly or ignored, but rather should be honored as the Creator of all things. Only then can we truly experience His love and grace in our lives.
