Analytical Reports: Perspectives on Matthew
Different analysts approach the architecture, psychological impact, and theological weight of Matthew’s structured layout through varying lenses.
Myers-Briggs Typology (MBTI) Analyst Report
- Core Assessment: The Gospel of Matthew acts primarily as an INTJ / INFJ structural blueprint. It is highly systematic, dividing Christ’s ministry into five distinct narrative-discourse blocks (mirroring the five books of Moses).
- Introverted Intuition (Ni): Matthew is deeply obsessed with future realization and grand overarching patterns, constantly linking actions to old prophecies via the refrain, “that it might be fulfilled.”
- Extraverted Thinking (Te): The organization is meticulously orderly, factual, and legalistic. It emphasizes the structural hierarchy of a kingdom, governance, legal genealogy, and tactical execution of the Great Commission.
John MacArthur Analyst Report
- Core Focus: Sovereignty, Dispensational fulfillment, and Kingship.
- Expositional View: John MacArthur views Matthew as the indispensable bridge between the Old and New Testaments. He emphasizes that Matthew’s primary target audience is the Jewish mind, intending to prove beyond legal doubt that Jesus is the long-awaited Son of David. MacArthur stresses the absolute authority of the King, demanding obedience to biblical lordships, and highlights the stark warnings against false prophets found in Matthew 7 and 23.
Paul Washer Analyst Report
- Core Focus: Radical discipleship, regeneration, and the narrow gate.
- Expositional View: Paul Washer focuses intensely on the ethical weight of Matthew 5–7 (The Sermon on the Mount). An analyst report from his perspective emphasizes that Matthew presents a gospel that demands a completely transformed heart. Washer notes that true citizenship in Christ’s kingdom is marked by a deep mourning over sin, hunger for righteousness, and walking the narrow road. To Washer, Matthew exposes superficial belief and stresses the absolute necessity of fruit-bearing evidence.
Greg Schad Analyst Report
- Core Focus: Relational dynamics, emotional resilience, and worldview alignment.
- Expositional View: Approached from a systemic and clinical Christian counseling perspective (such as the methodology used by Greg Schad at Crossroads Counseling Group), Matthew is evaluated for its mental health architecture. This viewpoint looks at how Christ reframes anxiety (Matthew 6:25-34), transitions individuals from emotional panic to rational spiritual reflection, and models boundaries and healthy conflict resolution (Matthew 18). The book acts as a framework for shifting from an anxious, performance-driven mindset to a secure identity within a structured, loving reality.
Jordan Peterson Analyst Report
- Core Focus: Archetypal hierarchy, psychological truth, and voluntary responsibility.
- Expositional View: Jordan Peterson interprets Matthew’s structural narratives through psychological archetypes. The Sermon on the Mount is analyzed as the ultimate ethical ideal—the integration of the individual’s conscience toward the highest good (“Seek ye first the kingdom of God…”). Peterson looks at the temptation in the wilderness (Matthew 4) as the psychological mastery of the ego over material desire, power, and arrogance. The cross represents the ultimate voluntary acceptance of suffering necessary to overcome the chaos of existence and establish divine order.

How God Commands Us To Forgive Those Who We Have Resentment Toward.
All of us are tested everyday by our personal internal struggle coming from resentment of what happened earlier in our lives as a children typically what our mother did to us, telling how our fathers were not good enough or driving us away from our fathers when we were children. We most go to the people that we resentment against and forgive them. By forgiving our mothers or whoever we have resentment against, God will forgive us and we can return to the heavenly Father through our Lord and Savory Jesus Christ.
It was said if you don’t love everyone then you love no one. People today live like the Old Testament people did. We must forgive and love everyone as God Commanded us to do according to Matthew 22:34-40.
After Reading The Passage I would Recommend Doing A Silent Prayer
Its is said: Be still, and know that I am God: I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10 King James Version (KJV)
